Box Office Tsunami: Dhurandhar crosses Rs. 535 cr. in Hindi; Ranveer Singh starrer BEATS Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan & Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal!

Ranveer Singh is the man of the moment, as his December 5 release, Dhurandhar is unstoppable at the box office in India. The film has shown a phenomenal jump in business on the third Saturday, as it is headed to collect more than Rs. 30 crores on the 16th day of its run. The action-packed film stands at Rs. 535 crores, and there is a lot of gas still left in the tank.

With this, Ranveer Singh starrer has surpassed the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal in Hindi, and the film is racing to top the business of films like Jawan, Stree 2 and Chhaava among others. Dhurandhar is in the race to emerge as the biggest film ever in Hindi by surpassing the collections of Pushpa 2, which earned around Rs. 800 crore in Hindi.

The film will see another jump in business on Sunday, and the 17-day total could stand around the Rs. 570 crore mark, prepping itself to enter the Christmas Holiday period with a bang. The film is refusing to slow down and continues to defy all the laws of film trending in India.

Internationally too, it is recording a phenomenal run and is on track to hit the Rs. 1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office by the end of its run.

At its current worldwide total, Dhurandhar has edged past long-standing global performers and now sits just below PK, which amassed Rs. 769.89 crore worldwide. The gap between the two films is marginal, underlining how close Dhurandhar is to climbing further up the all-time rankings as its theatrical run continues. What makes this achievement even more significant is the fact that the film has reached this milestone in a far more competitive and fragmented global market.

Topping the all-time worldwide list remains Dangal, an unprecedented phenomenon with Rs. 1968.03 crore, followed by modern-day juggernauts Jawan (Rs. 1148.32 crore) and Pathaan (Rs. 1050.3 crore). Films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Animal, Secret Superstar, and Stree 2 dominate the upper half of the chart, most of them benefitting from extended overseas legs, particularly in non-traditional markets.

In comparison, Dhurandhar’s global performance stands out for its balance. While its domestic numbers have remained extraordinarily strong, the film has also shown impressive traction overseas, helping it surpass major worldwide hits such as Chhaava (Rs. 797.34 crore) is now firmly within striking distance of overtaking it in the coming days.

The film’s entry into the all-time worldwide top 10 is not just a commercial milestone but also a reflection of its broad-based appeal across territories. With sustained momentum still visible, Dhurandhar’s global box office story appears far from over, and the possibility of climbing higher on this historic list now feels increasingly inevitable.
